Hello and welcome to my page. I am now working with Plymouth Rock Studios as consultant for the Film/TV Acting Forums and Labs. To date, I have trained 700 actors and my program has generated over $5,000 of food for the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse which breaks down to over 2,000 meals.
Due to the challenges with the loan, my classes through the studio are on hold, however, I am still teaching my popular classes in Sandwich. For more information visit my personal website at
www.lasit.com.
I've been involved with the performing arts for twenty years and have co-starred on several national televisions shows like Midnight Caller, Nash Bridges and America's Most Wanted, acted in commercials, voice-overs, and a few independent films. For ten years, I worked with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Programs touring to schools throughout California performing free health educational plays. This program has reached over 15 million students, parents and teachers. I started out as a performer educator and worked my way up to Road Manager, Production Assistant, and eventually Program Coordinator and Director. While I directed for the touring company, I had the opportunity to re-write and update two of their shows, Nightmare on Puberty Street and Peace Signs, a violence prevention show.
To make a long story short, I left this job back in 2005 ( but remained "on call"), to pursue another dream of mine... screenwriting. I've made a lot of progress since I made the leap of faith, and now I have a total of four screenplays and seven picture books, and I am continuing to build my body of work.
Two of my screenplays have done well in major competitions in Los Angeles. Boys' Day Out, a sci-fi, adventure, made the quarter finals (top 200 out of 2,400) in the Creative Screenwriting Expo Competition. Wishland, a dramatic fantasy, made the finals (the top 12) in the Kairos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays competition this past Spring. I'm currently adapting Wishland into a graphic novel.
I do have a website which has more background information about my work history and why I love the performing arts. Please drop by my website anytime at
www.lasit.com/ I was also director and choreographer for my wife's choral program back in California for twelve years. We had five choirs with a total of two hundred high school students. Our Advanced Show Choirs are award winning groups and we are very proud of them and miss them.
As you can tell by this brief bio, I do a little bit of everything. Versatility is important for longevity in the arts and I have been so blessed to have made a living out of my passions and I am so honored to have worked with the studio. I look forward to the day when they can bring back the staff and continue with the wonderful programs we created.
~Peace and write on!

Thanks for viewing my art work and for your compliment. I started painting in 2001. I love doing watercolors, but have also just started trying out pastels. Thanks for inviting me to be a friend on this site. My email address isn't supported by this site to invite friends, or I would have done so long ago. I am enjoying your classes so much!!. It's also been a means to make new friends. Just great all around!! Thanks. Gail
