Just joined recently, and have been exploring the site, seeing what you're all about.

The rendering of your future plans is very exciting; I'd like to see you make a play to get "Fringe" to move in. It's bad enough when Toronto stands in for Boston, but New York? Heresy! And the exteriors of Yale standing in for Harvard just rub salt in the wounds...

(I have a Boston friend who objects to the Hancock Building (the old Plywood Ranch) being dubbed the Federal Building, but at least it's really Boston).

Given the tales of woe from friends who have returned to LA after shooting in New York, I imagine that Massachusetts would be a welcome relief.

The slogan "Hollywood East" was not coined by Nick Paleologos, as he states in your video. It has been used to describe the thriving film/TV industry in North Carolina, specifically Wilmington, for a quarter of a century.
That said, I wish you the best of success and sincerely hope you have a more lucrative tax incentive for producers than the 15-percent we struggle with here. Perhaps we should open an office in your state. We have the name already!!

Its the tax credit, duh. The seasons are also great for shots. Oh, and I hope you dont overlook the fact that MANY HOLLYWOOD talents never went to college, so I hope your all not closed minded. As Michael Jackson said, "Talent and creativity can't be taught"

Our reality will be amazing, but those of us who've grown up and lived in Massachusetts always knew it was a special place. I still wouldn't mind some CA sun shine!!!

Why film in MA? People worried sick that spring might come too soon (AKA global warming) can shiver under three blankets and get up in the morning to find ice in the bird bath until the end of April. Gardeners can see early tomato plants annihilated by spring frost until the end of May and frozen into oblivion by the end of September. In inland areas the ground freezes hard as a rock by Thanksgiving and doesn't show a tinge of green in the grass for nearly five months. Even some salt water bodies freeze over for weeks at a time. California namby-pambies who have never had to scrape ice off their windshields or worry about pipes freezing can decamp after one or two New England winters and spread the good word: "Thank GOD there's a place where winter still lasts long enough!"

Only a hop, skip & a jump away in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, country girls can wear ten-pound, waxed canvas, barn coats and enormous clodhoppers, split firewood with an axe and carry a lobster trap or fifty pound wheel of handcrafted cheese on each shoulder without losing their femininity. In yachting precincts they can haul up the sails with their teeth and steer a schooner with one hand while honey curls shimmer in the breeze. What opportunities for character actresses!

We have intriguing regional distinctions galore: scions of wealth who for five generations have never dyed their hair, painted an eyelid or let a synthetic fiber touch their skin, decadent aristocrats who can make fifteen ingredient salads with unpronouncable vegetables while their breadwinning wives maintain an air of respectability by teaching abstruse subjects in colleges. City folk keep one of the most adorable and photogenic of all dogs, the Boston terrier. All in all, a swell place to make quirky pictures.
